Night to Shine

02/18/2024

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of accompanying my friend Abby to the Night to Shine dance hosted by 242 Community Church. Night to Shine is a prom night experience for people with special needs sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Fact Friday #12! 💓
We live in a society that constantly tells women they are not good enough, and it's absolutely heartbreaking to see the effect that this has on girls. This is why I founded Girls Lifted Up at 15, and through my journey with GLU, I've gone from an insecure girl to a confident young woman advocating for change....

Gamma Phi Beta

Gamma Phi builds strong girls!! 💐💪🏼
One of the biggest things that initially drew me to Gamma Phi Beta was their philanthropic mission, Building Strong Girls. It aligned perfectly with my mission within Girls Lifted Up, and the reason I was seeking sorority in general - an empowering community of women. I'm having such a blast going through it...

Growth

Four years of GROWTH
Fifteen-year-old Claire would be awestruck with the version of her who stepped foot on the Miss Monroe County stage this summer. I am a completely different person than I was when I began to find my place in this program at age 15. I am a more confident leader than I ever imagined I could...

On Saturday I competed for my third year vying for the Miss Monroe County crown, and my heart is so full. I left my heart out on the stage (& the interview room), and placed as second runner-up. I also was awarded first runner-up to the Most Advertising Sold Award (thanks to everyone who bought an ad from me !!)...

Through Girls Lifted Up, I have had the privilege and responsibility of being a role model to the girls I work with. Here are some tips I've learned from my Mentoring Central training on how to be a positive role model! I'm so ready to put these skills to use as a mentor again shortly with Liv2BMe!

Teen night

08/16/2023

We are officially halfway through Miss Monroe County 2023 week! The highlight of my night was being onstage with my princesses, Sayler and Khloe. Im so so proud of these girls and the way they graced the stage!
Our new Miss Monroe County's Teen is Sawyer Seitz! Congratulations to all of tonight's contestants, each of you absolutely blew me...

It's the perfect day to talk about the sisterhood I've experienced in this program because it's my pageant bestie's birthday! Happy birthday Celeste, your kindness and grace embody the legacy of this program and I look up to you so much!

Service is in the heart and lifestyle of every contestant in the Miss America Opportunity. Above all else, titleholders are community servants who are granted a platform to impact their community through their own service initiative.

The definition of success is different for every contestant in the Miss America Opportunity. It doesn't mean just walking away with the crown. To "lose" is still to succeed because you will always walk away learning something.
