"I have known Claire since June 2022 when she served as a Camp Counselor for Atlanta-based nonprofit Girl Talk, Inc. As a counselor, Claire served as a mentor for the Leadership group, which was made up of over ten 4th and 8th grade girls. Throughout the week, Claire dedicated herself to the campers and ensured that camp activities in her group ran smoothly. For example, she helped lead the campers in the creation of a lip sync routine to "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Disney's Encanto. Despite only having 45 minutes, Claire and the Leadership Counselors managed their time well to coordinate a stellar performance, which ended up winning the best lip sync battle. Additionally, Claire displayed exemplary public speaking skills. She moderated a conversation with guest speaker, singer Amber Ais. And she spoke during the Closing Ceremony about Liv2BMe, which is another female empowerment initiative she supports. Claire's involvement at camp benefitted Girl Talk by helping campers leave feeling more confident in themselves and their leadership capabilities. We cannot achieve those objectives without the support of incredible hardworking Counselors, like Claire."
